Food safety

Food safety: is our priority throughout the production chain

Feeding people: a noble mission and a huge responsibility. Faithful to its values, Glon commits to guaranteeing food safety beyond regulatory requirements. This concern for excellence shows how much we care for both customers and consumers.

Safe and traceable products

Our ambition is to feed the greatest number of people with the best quality food.
Quality assurance schemes guarantee food safety and traceability throughout the production network for each type of production:
- Pondicalcul, Pondi Analyses for the Glon egg division
- Fermatel for the Glon poultry division
- Wikiporc for the Glon pig division
- Éliott for the Glon rabbit division
Access to all our production plants is strictly regulated. Suppliers and haulage companies must hold an accreditation and submit compliance certificates for every delivery. Inspections are carried out upon delivery and throughout the production process until finished products are shipped.

A system which guarantees optimum safety

Glon has set up a reliable system in order to guarantee optimum safety standards:
  • a health and food safety unit
  • an independent science committee
  • a scientific and technological data collection centre
  • microbiological, biochemical and organoleptic testing
  • raw material analysis
